Stew Beef 1 tsp. thyme leaves 1 med chopped onion Salt and Pepper to taste Put all ingredients into a kettle and bring to a boil, slowly for three hours. (In a crock pot, simmer all night). Remove meat and cut into small pieces. Mash rutabagas or process in a blender (Caution: blending hot liquids can be dangerous. Please consult your blender's instructions.) Return rutabagas and meat to pot. Correct seasoning. For an added bit of flavor, serve with a dollop of fresh sour cream.
