The Horry County Museum and the AVX Foundation present a lecture by Lee Brockington on “Women of the Waccamaw”. This presentation is an overview of female leaders of the Waccamaw River region who built community, pioneered in agriculture and preserved thousands of acres in perpetuity. With a spotlight on about ten women, Lee Brockington shares the surprising contributions of “the gentler sex”. This presentation will be held on March 5, 2016 and begins at 1 PM in the McCown Auditorium at the Horry County Museum located at 805 Main Street, Conway SC. This lecture is free and open to the public.
