LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE HORRY COUNTY MUSEUM’S HURRICANE HAZEL COLLECTION ON EXHIBT

The Horry County Museum opened its new pictorial exhibit, Hurricane Hazel: Through Our Lenses to museum members Thursday, September 29th. The exhibit will open to the public Friday, September 30th. The photographs on exhibit were donated to the museum by local photographers. These personal photos tell the story of Hurricane Hazel’s devastation and the impact the hurricane had along the Grand Strand. Many of these photographs are now also part of the Horry County Archives Center’s Digital Repository, which can be found at http://www.coastal.edu/library/digital/index.html.
The Horry County Museum is free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
