Then and Now: The Transformation of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base

The Horry County Museum is pleased to announce the opening of the new exhibit, Then and Now: The Transformation of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. The exhibit opens March 31, 2017.

This Exhibit is dedicated to the rich history and special memories of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. The Base served The United States and the Horry County Community for over 50 years. This exhibit explores the development of the MBAFB, its unexpected closing, and redevelopment into one of the Grand Strand’s top destinations, the Market Common. The exhibit also showcases the impressive history of the 354th Fighter Wing.

This Exhibit is sponsored by The Order of the Daedalians Flight 77 and Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union.
