SUMMARY:Our Town scheduled to show at the Horry County Museum
DESCRIPTION:The Horry County Museum and the Department of Theatre at Coastal Carolina University present a special showing of Our Town on Saturday\, November 10th at 7:30 PM. Admission is free and open to the public. Voluntary donations to Conway Cares will be accepted to help those affected by Hurricane Florence. \nA landmark in American drama\, Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town tells the story of a small town that represents every town the world over. Narrated by the “Stage Manager\,” the play follows the Gibbs and Webb families\, residents of Grover’s Corners\, N.H.\, through 12 years of life changes – from the mundane to the romantic to the devastating. Through young lovers Emily and George\, their strong and loving parents and the locals’ interwoven lives\, Wilder delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. \nThe program will be held in the McCown Auditorium located at 805 Main Street\, Conway SC. For more information\, call 843-915-5320 or email hcgmuseum@horrycounty.org. To view a full list of programs\, visit our website at www.horrycountymuseum.org.
