DESCRIPTION:The Horry County Museum will offer a lecture by Marian Calder on Saturday\, July 18th\, on Peter Horry. \nMany of us have heard of Francis Marion thanks to the romanticized stories by Parson Weems. But what about the man who served along with him and for whom Horry County is named? Join us to learn more about Peter Horry\, his role in the Revolutionary War\, and beyond. \nThe program will begin at 1 pm in the McCown Auditorium located at 805 Main Street\, Conway SC.
