SUMMARY:Featured Quilter Karen Dodson
DESCRIPTION:We’re celebrating textiles throughout March at the Horry County Museum! Stop by throughout March to hear from a variety of quilters\, plus\, you’ll have a chance to win a door prize at every program! \nJoin us Tuesday\, March 12th at 10 AM as local quilter Karen Dodson shares the history and methods behind several quilts from her collection. Quilted items will include bed quilts\, wall hangings and placemats. Karen moved to Conway from Connecticut five years ago. Before retiring\, she worked as a receptionist at several Connecticut corporations and a pollster at Quinnipiac Polling Institute (CT) and Political Connections (SC).  An avid reader and now quilter\, her first two quilts were a memory quilt with her late mother’s shirts and a quilt made up of scraps from her late mother-in-law’s fabric leftovers. \nThe program will be held at the Horry County Museum\, located at 805 Main Street\, Conway SC.
