SUMMARY:The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with D-Day Remembered
DESCRIPTION:This locally produced documentary profiles the events of “Operation Overlord\,” the Allied invasion of German-occupied France\, which began on “D-Day” June 6\, 1944. The joint military operation involved more than 150\,000 Allied troops\, almost 5\,000 ships and landing craft\, 13\,000 aircraft\, 3\,500 airborne gliders\, and more than 2-million tons of equipment.\nThe film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM\, Wednesday\, June 4th\, at the Horry County Museum\, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.\nThe Horry County Museum Documentary Film Matinees will continue throughout 2025.
