SUMMARY:Charlie’s Place

SUMMARY:Wire & Wood Bluegrass Band to Perform at the Horry County Museum
DESCRIPTION:The Horry County Museum presents a free bluegrass concert by Wire & Wood on Saturday\, September 26th at 1 PM. \nWire and Wood is\, first and foremost\, a group of friends who enjoy getting together and making music. The band features Tammy Holt on bass\, Jason Todd on mandolin\, Danny Newton on banjo\, Mike Monk on guitar\, and William Hardee on fiddle. Every member is a multi-instrumentalist and brings years of experience performing both close to home and on stages throughout the region\, including appearances alongside many well-known and accomplished professional musicians. \nYou never quite know what you’ll hear at a Wire and Wood show. Their repertoire moves from fast\, hard-driving bluegrass to gospel\, country\, and plenty in between\, with a focus on good songs\, strong picking and singing\, and having a good time making music together. The name Wire and Wood began with a wedding music business started by Jason and William—a nod to the strings and wooden instruments that make acoustic music what it is—and eventually became the natural name for the band as well. \nThe concert is free to the public and will be held in the Museum’s McCown Auditorium located at 805 Main Street\, Conway\, S.C. No tickets or reservations required. For more information\, call 843-915-5320 or email hcg.museum@horrycountysc.gov.  For more information about our programs\, visit the museum website www.horrycountymuseum.org.
