• Free Children’s Program at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm

    Join us Saturday, April 25th, for a free 30 minute activity at the Farm! Parents can sign children up for a half hour session between 9 AM-11 AM. Group sizes will be limited. In this session, children will learn about local wildlife and make a notebook of local animal tracks to take home.

  • Shark Tooth Charles to Speak at the Horry County Museum

    The Horry County Museum presents a program all about shark’s teeth by Charles Shelton on Saturday, April 25th, at 1:00 PM.
    “Shark Tooth Charles” has been hunting for shark’s teeth for close to 40 years. It's his passion and he loves to give his time to educate, inspire, and enlighten others about the world of shark teeth hunting. In this program you'll learn about shark teeth, shark jaws, and most importantly how to hunt for shark’s teeth. You'll also learn about what can be found locally on our beaches. We hope that you walk away ready to hunt some teeth!
    The program is free to the public and will be held in the Museum’s McCown Auditorium located at 805 Main Street, Conway, SC 29526.   • Steel Roads, Iron Men

    The 2026 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Steel Roads, Iron Men. This film, part of the Carolina Stories Series by SCETV, takes viewers on a nostalgic journey through railroading in South Carolina. From the early days when the giant locomotives were steam driven, to the modern world of diesel powered trains, hear railroading stories from the men who drove the spikes, or manned the engines from the early 1940s to the present.
    The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
