Spring Planting Day at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm

L.W. Paul Living History Farm 2279 Harris Short Cut Rd, Conway

Visitors of all ages are invited to join us Saturday, April 11th from 9 AM-12 PM at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm for our annual Spring Planting Day. Stop by to learn about the different types of plants that would have been important to the farm family and how they would have prepared their spring and summer garden. We’ll have a variety of demonstrations throughout the Farm including cooking on the wood burning stove, planting, and more!
The L.W. Paul Living History Farm is open Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM-4 PM and teaches the history of the Horry County farm family from 1900-1955. The farm is free and open to the public and is located at the corner of Hwy 701 North and Harris Short Cut Road in Conway, SC. For more information, call the L. W. Horry County Museum unveils new 250th Exhibit

Horry County Museum 805 Main Street, Conway

The Horry County Museum is celebrating America’s 250th with a new exhibit, “For the good of our Country and the welfare of our lives, liberties, and fortunes…” The Dynamics of Horry County During the American Revolution. This exhibit focuses on the area that became Horry County, once part of Georgetown District, during the American Revolution. Throughout the gallery visitors will learn about Revolutionary War figures like Francis Marion and Peter Horry, the types of weapons and clothing used by Continental Soldiers and Militia Men, as well as local battles and places of interest during the War. The public is invited to an exhibit opening on Saturday, April 11th at 2:30 PM at the Horry County Museum.
