Experience life on the “one horse farm” in Horry County from 1900-1955 at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. Join us on April 10th from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM for a program on gardening where visitors can learn about growing a garden using heirloom varieties of vegetables and only organic fertilizers. At this program, visitors can join in and help finish planting the remaining part of the summer garden.

The 2019 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Lions in Blue & Gray. This locally produced documentary tells the story of Civil War generals Joshua Chamberlain and Stonewall Jackson.
As Colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry, Joshua Chamberlain is credited by many as saving the battle of Gettysburg for the Union Army through his defense of Little Round Top. Stonewall Jackson was renowned as a southern military genius and was known as General Robert E. Lee’s “right arm” before his death following the battle of Chancellorsville.
