Experience life on the one horse family farm in Horry County from 1900-1955 at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. Join us for Wash Day on Tuesday, February 26th from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM to see how clothes would have been washed using a scrub board and wash pot. From 11 AM-1 PM staff will demonstrate polishing the wood stove and heater in the farm house.

Experience life on the “one horse farm” in Horry County from 1900-1955 at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. Join us on March 7th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM for a cooking demonstration on the wood burning stove. Creativity was needed when the family wanted to get away from everyday recipes and add variety to their meals. In this demonstration, Wayne will use foods from the pantry to cook a small meal that would have been different for the average family.

Jr. Curators at the Horry County Museum

Junior Curators continues at the Horry County Museum on Saturday, March 9th from 9 AM-10 AM. This free, family friendly, program is open to children ages 5 and older and will teach children the history and natural history of Horry County through hands on activities. In this session, children will join Museum Curator, Hillary Winburn as she discusses what we collect and why. Participants will also test their knowledge and try to guess what certain artifacts are.
