The Horry County Museum presents a concert by the Saltwater Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, November 22nd at 1 PM. Comprised of volunteer members and performers, Saltwater Chamber Orchestra boasts a robust season of concerts with quality music performance. The group began as a club in the Coastal Carolina OLLI program in Myrtle Beach, SC, and is now an independent chamber string orchestra. Their repertoire consists of classical and show/pop selections, as well as selections for various holidays. Throughout the years since its founding, the organization has performed along the Grand Strand coast of South Carolina, sharing the comforting sounds of strings in the palmetto community. Venues have included churches, schools, libraries, and museums, as part of an ongoing concert series, and for educational, charitable, and civic events. The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Patriot Dream: The Story of the Pilgrims. This locally produced documentary tells the story of the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony, whose arrival in America in 1620 shaped the founding of the nation. Shot on location in the Pilgrim country of Great Britain and in the Cape Cod region of Massachusetts, it traces the extraordinary story of the Pilgrims from their troubles in 17th century England through their escape to Holland and their dramatic voyage to America.

The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 26th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.

The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with the SCETV documentary, Pages of History: South Carolina History through the Charleston Newspaper.

The Charleston Post & Courier was founded in 1803. Throughout its long history, this family-owned newspaper has served the low country, publishing news of war, fire, earthquake, and hurricane, as well as taking important stands on critical issues.

The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3rd, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.

Join us for free 30 minute Saturday activities at the Farm! Parents can sign children up for a half hour session between 9 AM-11 AM. Group sizes will be limited. On December 6th children can choose from a variety of options to create a toy or holiday themed craft to make and take home!

The Horry County Museum presents a free Christmas concert by the local group Ukes By the Sea on Saturday, December 6th, at 1:00 PM. Ukes By The Sea is a light-hearted ukulele band based in Myrtle Beach, SC. Members of the band range in age from 11 to 93. Their mission is to share joy through happy music. The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Myrtle Beach Memories. This ETV film is a nostalgic look at the history of Myrtle Beach from 1900-1965. Told through interviews with local historians and business people, this film features topics ranging from the Ocean Forest Hotel, Hurricane Hazel, the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, and the Sun Fun Festival to motor inns, guest houses and beach music.

The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Chasing the Swamp Fox. This film, part of the Carolina Stories Series by SCETV, details Francis Marion’s partisan campaigns during the American Revolution in South Carolina and paints a mosaic of what life was like in those years and how Marion’s participation led to the birth of modern day guerilla warfare as well as the liberation of our country.
